Our Assessment Process

At Wholesome Psychology, Our therapists will work with you collaboratively to determine if an assessment is needed and which is the best to suit your concerns. Our assessment process includes::

1.Intake & Consultation: We start by meeting with parents or care givers (and the child or youth if applicable) to gather background information on development and behaviour. Once we have the background information we can assess what type of testing materials are needed.

2.Assessment Sessions: Standardized tests, interviews, behavioral observations, and questionnaires are used. These tools will be unique to your child's needs to best understand what is affecting them. Sessions are provided by our experienced child psychologists in Edmonton and St. Albert

3.Comprehensive Analysis: We interpret results by following all assessment guidelines, reviewing and integrating information from multiple sources to understand all results

4.Feedback & Recommendations: Thorough feedback sessions, We provide caregivers and parents with clear explanations and practical tools and recommendations on how to approach the diagnosis or findings. We provide a written report that expresses our findings and displays our recommendations to help with any accommodations in day to day life or school settings.
