What to Expect From Brain Injury Counseling

We know that starting counseling after a brain injury can be nervewracking. Our offices provide a safe and welcoming space for you to express your concerns and share your experiences. In your initial session, you will provide background information such as your symptoms, current concerns and issues you have faced. From here the therapist will work collaboratively with you to create a treatment plan that is unique to you and your experiences. This plan will ensure your goals are met. The sessions are self paced so you can choose how much to share and when.

Therapy sessions are confidential and are done in a respectful and welcoming environment. Our therapists will help you knock down communication barriers and improve your mental and physical well-being. They will teach you strategies to help you improve your memory concerns, and work with you to obtain emotional regulation. They may also have you engage in activities that stimulate different areas of the brain to improve your strengths.
