Thomas McConnell

Registered Provisional Psychologist

My therapeutic approach is to work collaboratively with you to find what creates meaning and purpose within your life, acknowledging your experiences with compassion, empathy and non-judgement. I draw from a diverse set of methods to meet your unique needs and provide a person-centered experience where the client is able to explore their concerns in a safe empathetic environment. My methods include integrating both cognitive and body based approaches which not only can help the client gain insight but also to move towards the things they care about most.

I have experience working with a number of different populations such as women experiencing domestic violence, LGBTQ+ individuals and men’s mental health both within private practice and different agencies in the Edmonton area. I enjoy working with both adults and youth in managing a variety of mental health concerns such as trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship issues, self-esteem, body image and chronic pain.

Thank you for considering me as you progress on your mental health journey and I look forward to working with you to help accomplish your goals.
