As a Master's level practicum student under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist, I am currently offering counselling services at a reduced rate. This role provides a valuable learning opportunity, allowing me to deliver compassionate care and contribute meaningfully to client's well-being.
My passion lies in supporting children, adolescents, women, and families through life's challenges by providing a safe, empathetic, and non-judgemental space. My work experience has given me first-hand understanding of how trauma shows up for individuals differently and not a one size approach fits all. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and women in many different roles of the mental health field. My previous roles include Justice Navigator at Zebra Child and Youth Advocacy Centre, High Risk Youth Worker, Family Preservation Worker, and a Support Worker at a Domestic Violence Women's Shelter.
I take a holistic approach to therapy, focusing on you as a whole: mind, body, and spirit. My practice is rooted in multiple different modalities to best meet your needs. This includes Solution-Focuses Therapy (STF), Person-Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness practices. When working with children and youth I incorporate play therapy to assist in expression and working through complex emotions in a creative and healing way.
Therapy doesn't have to be scary. Be proud of yourself that you made it this far. I look forward to connecting with you on your unique journey to healing and growth.
