Under the supervision of a registered psychologist, I am currently in the role of a practicum student. This collaborative journey of growth enables me to provide counselling services at a reduced rate per session. I am looking forward to learning through this experience as I provide compassionate and effective counselling services.

My journey in the mental health field began as a psychiatric aide at Alberta Hospital Edmonton, where I have been employed for the past 3 and a half years. In this role, I have gained invaluable insight and experience working with diverse populations, including adults and youth, across multiple care settings. This includes providing support and psychoeducation to clients in acute psychiatric care, forensic psychiatric care, psychiatric rehabilitation, and youth programs such as PChAD, Stabilization, and Recovery. Currently, I am also taking on the role of a Child and Youth Development Specialist at the Royal Alexandra and Glenrose Hospitals, where I continue to expand my knowledge in supporting the holistic development of youth facing various challenges.

In addition to my professional experiences, I bring forth a unique lens that is shaped by my athletic background. As a former NCAA Division 1 and USports soccer player, I recognize the significance of mental resilience and performance optimization in sports and everyday life. My interest in various modalities, including Sports Psychology, CBT, ACT, Theraplay, and mindfulness-based strategies stems from both my work and athletic opportunities, as well as my firsthand experience of their influence on mental well-being.

As I move forward in my own journey of becoming a registered psychologist, I am diligently committed to furthering my expertise and skills to better serve my clients. My approach to counselling is rooted in a person-centred and trauma-informed framework, prioritizing the unique backgrounds and needs of each client. I am passionate about establishing a space where you feel safe, supported, empowered, and can freely explore your emotions and experiences. I will remain committed to fostering a culture of empathy and understanding, and through my work, I intend to inspire individuals to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and strength, further guiding youth and adults towards their path of healing and growth.
