Receiving therapy can be challenging, but when working with a compatible therapist, individuals have the opportunity to grow, gain insight, and make positive changes to enhance their current circumstances. I strive to create a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental environment to help make the therapeutic process a little less daunting and feel more achievable.
In my therapeutic approach, I prioritize collaboration and utilizing a variety of techniques to best support my clients in achieving positive results, while also being mindful of minimizing any interference with their daily routines. Utilizing my extensive background as a therapist, a parent, and a living unit officer, I am able to provide clients with a well-rounded perspective to help guide them towards achievable solutions. I utilize a range of different approaches customized to meet the unique needs of each client, while using a psychodynamic lens during sessions. This involves emphasizing the importance of considering the individual as a whole, fostering self-awareness in clients, and exploring the impact of past experiences on present behaviors.
Being a psychologist has been a deeply fulfilling experience. It is truly inspiring to witness clients discover their resilience, courage, and strength, and use these qualities to cultivate hope for a brighter future. I would be honored for the opportunity to support you on this journey.
