I am a Registered Psychologist in Canada for more than five years with a focus on psychoeducational and autism assessments for children, teens, and adults. I also offer online multicultural counselling with kids and teens from 10 to 15 years old.
My career in psychology began twenty years ago in Brazil, where I worked with children as a Clinical Psychologist. In 2013, I immigrated to Canada to further my expertise, especially in play therapy and psychoeducational assessments, and to deepen my understanding of the unique challenges that immigrant families face. This experience has shaped my practice to incorporate a multicultural perspective, which I apply in my sessions to address cultural and social adjustments, racism, and related challenges that families may encounter.
I specialize in supporting children and teens who experience social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties such as anxiety, attachment issues, low self-esteem, ADHD, autism, depression, OCD, and peer relationship challenges. My therapeutic approach is holistic, considering each child’s physical, emotional, social, cultural, and cognitive well-being. I work collaboratively with parents or caregivers and other professionals to create tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs of the individual and family system. My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers children and families to thrive in all aspects of their lives.
