As Mental Health Therapist, I am offering reduced rate counselling while working in close consultation with numerous Registered Psychologists. I have a background in clinical psychology with more than 12 years’ experience as a psychometrist. Throughout my career I have worked with a diverse client base including children, adolescents, and adults. Incorporating counselling into my practice is a natural extension of my passion for all types of psychology.
Looking for a space to be seen and heard without judgement? Seeking support in making a change or trying something new? I offer a place for you to be validated, gain insights into yourself, to problem-solve, and learn new skills. Whether looking into your past, staying centred in the present, or creating plans for the future, I offer a place for you to gain insights into yourself, problem-solve, and learn new skills in a safe and respectful space.
My collaborative, person-entered, and mindful approach to counselling positions you as the expert in your own life, honouring your unique lived experiences and creating a safe, respectful space to work towards your desired goals. I practice from a variety of person-centered, multicultural, and mindfulness-based modalities that are tailored to your needs, including trauma-informed Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Overall, I work with the concept of psychological flexibility to help get you "unstuck" and more aligned with what you value in life.
I am especially passionate about working with people from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. As a woman from the Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour [BIPOC] community, I recognize that diversity shapes our identities and experiences, and I welcome these considerations into our work together! I understand that seeking counselling is an incredibly meaningful step for your mental health. If you choose to embark on your journey with me, you can expect warmth, compassion, authenticity, a healthy dose of curiosity and even a little humour when
