I am a calm, curious, and non-judgemental person who genuinely enjoys listening to others. I also aim to bring some humour into the room, whenever it is appropriate. My experience includes working with children, adolescents, families, couples, and adults. At the core, I simply enjoy meeting and connecting with people from all ages and backgrounds.
Prior to private practice, I have worked within the criminal justice system, child and family services, non-profit organizations supporting at-risk adolescents and young adults, and the school system. At this stage in my work, my primary focus is supporting adults and couples.
I believe that integrating different treatment approaches often leads to the most meaningful outcomes. My preferred modalities include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and EMDR. I value an integrative approach because I see human beings as multi-faceted, shaped by many internal and external factors that influence wellbeing and mental health.
If you are looking for someone who is direct, while also patient and understanding, we may be a good fit. In our work together, my goal is not only to help you feel heard, but also to support real, lasting change in your life.
I also offer sessions in Spanish, as it is my first language.
If you believe that I can provide support in any way, I encourage you to reach out. I look forward to our conversations.
