As a practicum student under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist, I am currently offering counselling services at a reduced rate. This role provides a valuable learning opportunity, allowing me to deliver compassionate care and contribute meaningfully to client well-being.
I bring a deep commitment to cultural humility and an appreciation for the richness of multicultural identities and lived experiences. I aim to create a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported in their individual journeys.
With a personal background in competitive soccer, I have developed a strong interest in sports psychology—particularly the roles of resilience and perseverance in mental well-being. These values inform my approach to supporting clients in navigating challenges and building on their strengths through adversity.
My previous volunteer experiences have helped shape my understanding of the power of safe, inclusive, and supportive environments. At Grant MacEwan University, I served as a peer supporter, where I fostered open dialogue and emotional safety for students navigating diverse stressors. Additionally, my time volunteering with CASA deepened my appreciation for community mental health support and the importance of early intervention.
In my practice, I integrate evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and a Person-Centered approach. I am able to provide services in both English and Arabic and am sensitive to the profound importance of language and cultural connection in the therapeutic process. I am passionate about walking alongside individuals as they explore their stories, build resilience, and work toward meaningful change.
