As a practicum student under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist, I am currently offering counselling services at a reduced rate. This role provides a valuable learning opportunity, allowing me to deliver compassionate care and contribute meaningfully to client well-being.
I believe that therapy is most effective when you feel safe, accepted and truly heard. As a student therapist, I am deeply committed to providing a supportive and compassionate therapeutic space where we can explore what is important to you. I highly value collaboration and honouring your unique experiences, as together we can explore your story and emotions with care.
My experience working in a community setting taught me the importance of meeting each person where they are. Allowing me to bring a passion for connecting with individuals from a range of different backgrounds and acknowledge the influence of multicultural and diverse identities with humility and openness.
In our work, I will integrate evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support each client with their unique needs. This includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), while incorporating mindfulness and coping skills that are appropriate for each client. I am able to provide services in both English and Spanish, recognizing the deep impact of language in helping people feel understood and connected. Together, we can explore your journey and work towards your values and wellness.
