As a practicum student under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist, I am currently offering counselling services at a reduced rate. This role provides a valuable learning opportunity, allowing me to deliver compassionate care and contribute meaningfully to client’s well-being.
My professional journey has provided me with experience working with children, teens, and families navigating a variety of challenges. Driven by a passion for supporting individuals through their unique journeys, I hope to create a safe and welcoming space for everyone. I believe in the importance of acknowledging the messiness of being human, and aim to help clients find joy and self-discovery even in their struggles.
Alongside my professional experiences, I offer a unique perspective shaped by my background in competitive and recreational sports. These experiences helped me recognize the importance of mental resilience. It inspired my interest in sports psychology and fuels my commitment to helping individuals excel in both their athletic pursuits and everyday activities
I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to counselling and draw from a variety of modalities depending on my client’s needs, including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Mindfulness practices. When working with children, I incorporate Art and Play Therapy techniques to encourage unique forms of expression.
As I progress through my journey of becoming a Registered Psychologist, I am committed to creating a collaborative and empathetic space, meeting clients where they’re at and recognizing them as the experts in their own lives. No matter what you’re facing, know that you’re not alone. I understand that life can bring many unexpected obstacles and am honoured to be a part of your journey!
