As a practicum student under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist, I am currently offering counselling services at a reduced rate. This role provides a valuable learning opportunity, allowing me to deliver compassionate care and contribute meaningfully to client well-being.
I aim to bring warmth, curiosity and care into the counselling room. My approach is person-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed. I believe you bring important knowledge about your own life, and therapy can be a space to explore that together. I see my role as asking
thoughtful questions, helping you make sense of what you are experiencing, and noticing the strengths and resilience that may already be there. I believe it is possible to understand why certain patterns or ways of coping developed while also exploring what you would like to change
or move toward.
Over the last decade, I have worked in the Child and Youth Care field and in public libraries, supporting children, youth, families, and adults with a wide range of needs and circumstances. My academic background in Women’s and Gender Studies has also shaped the way I understand
people and their experiences. I am interested in how the systems we live within can influence how we see ourselves and the challenges we face.
It would be my honour to work with you.
