As a practicum student under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist, I am currently offering counselling services at a reduced rate. This role provides a valuable learning opportunity, allowing me to deliver compassionate care and contribute meaningfully to client well-being.
I understand that reaching out for counselling and allowing yourself to be vulnerable can be hard. Showing up and sharing parts of your story with someone new takes a lot of courage, and I aim to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and accepted just as you are. I believe that clients are the experts in their own lives, and my approach to counselling is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. My goal is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you in your journey. Together, we can explore the experiences, thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may be affecting you, while also recognizing the strengths and resources you already carry. I hope to help clients feel supported in making sense of what they are experiencing and developing practical tools that feel realistic and helpful in their everyday lives.
I am very interested in working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I recognize that every person comes to counselling with a different story and I strive to approach each client with curiosity, compassion, and respect. My experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting has also strengthened my appreciation for the connection between emotional, physical, and overall well-being.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, while also incorporating elements of Solution Focused Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and a strengths-based approach. I work from a trauma-informed perspective and believe that therapy should be flexible rather than one-size-fits-all. Together, we can determine what approaches and strategies feel most supportive for you, while moving at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable.
